Privacy and donor protection
Protect people before collecting anything.
Who’s Hungry is operated by WHOS HUNGRY INC. This page explains the website as it works today and the minimum protections required before contact forms, email signup, or donations are activated.
What this website collects today
Who’s Hungry does not currently collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, payment information, messages, newsletter subscriptions, or donation information through this website. There is no active form or payment checkout. If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you choose to send.
The hosting infrastructure may process standard technical request information—such as an IP address, browser type, requested page, and time of access—to deliver and secure the website. Who’s Hungry does not use that information for advertising or donor profiling.
The media section includes a YouTube video that loads only when you select its play button. The player uses YouTube’s privacy-enhanced domain. Once loaded, YouTube receives technical information needed to serve the video and applies its own privacy practices. Links to news coverage and photo sources open those publishers’ websites.
What must happen before donations open
Donations will remain unavailable until WHOS HUNGRY INC has an organizational bank account, an approved payment provider, automatic receipts, reconciliation procedures, access controls, a donor-support channel, and documented reporting responsibilities.
- Payment-card numbers will be entered only on a secure hosted checkout operated by the approved payment provider.
- Who’s Hungry will never ask a donor to send card numbers, bank credentials, or passwords by email, text message, chat, or a general contact form.
- Donation records will be limited to information needed to process the gift, issue a receipt, maintain required records, prevent fraud, and respond to the donor.
- Donors will be able to request anonymity in public recognition. Giving will never require public identification.
How personal information will be handled
Who’s Hungry will not sell or rent personal information. Access will be limited to people and providers who need it for authorized organizational work. Service providers will receive only the information necessary to perform their function.
Records will be kept only as long as needed for the stated purpose, organizational accountability, fraud prevention, required tax and accounting records, or another documented legal obligation. Final retention periods will be published before collection begins.
Future contact and partnership forms
Before a form opens, this page will identify what the form collects, why each field is needed, where the information goes, who can access it, how long it is retained, and how someone can request correction or deletion where applicable.
General inquiry forms will not request medical records, government identification numbers, passwords, financial-account credentials, or sensitive case-management information.
Official contact and policy updates
For privacy questions, contact info@whoshungryproject.org. Material changes to collection or payment practices will be dated and described on this page.
If a donation button appears anywhere before this page identifies the approved payment provider and official donor-support contact, do not use it.
